Hi Brian:
We were trying to use Odyssey via ILLiad but our IT person couldn't set up our complicated network scanner to connect to ILLiad. So right now, he setup the scanner to scan to a network folder in TIFF file format and we are planning to import the scanned document into Odyssey. So far the import process seems to work but we have not yet matched the scanned document to a lending request to send out to a library. We're hoping this workaround will work.

Odyssey Standalone users:
At the 2010 ILLiad International Conference next month, I will be co-presenting a session entitled "What every ILLiad library should know about Odyssey Standalone".
Some ILLiad libraries have never seen Standalone, and I want to share with them some of the similarities and differences between it and Odyssey-within-ILLiad as well as
some of the experiences I've had helping people use Standalone.
If there is anything you would like ILLiad folks to know about Standalone (e.g. what you like or dislike; the ease or hurdles you encountered implementing it; differences
you've noticed when sending or receiving articles with ILLiad vs with Standalone libraries, etc.), let me know and I'd be happy to share.
Feel free to respond to me directly off-list at miller.2507 at osu.edu
