[Odyssey-L] Questions from my first Odyssey Standalone workshop

Tim;

I'm not aware of how you can save or export your Odyssey Standalone
address book. But I can see how that would be helpful if you were
getting a new computer or having an old one re-imaged and didn't want
to lose the address data you've accumulated. I'd also be interested
to hear if anyone else has successfully copied the address book (or
the entire OdysseyDatabase / Odyssey folder) from one PC to another
and not had to start installation from scratch.

Regarding how Odyssey Standalone sends/receives with ILLiad sites,
two thoughts occur to me:

1) Open Odyssey on your computer and look at the blue bar at the top
of the screen. Make sure it indicates Odyssey 2.0.1.0. If the blue
bar displays Odyssey 1.0, click the Help dropdown menu and choose
Check For Updates. Your PC may freeze up for several minutes while
the update to version 2.0.1.0 occurs. Version 1.0 is not compatible
to send and receive with ILLiad locations, but version 2.0.1.0 fixed
that problem.

2) As long as Odyssey Standalone libraries using version 2.0.1.0
have their Odyssey address in the proper format in the Email field of
their Constant Data, there is no need to put it in the Verified field
with each request. The format in the Email field must be <ODYSSEY:
123.123.123.123/ILL> where 123.123.123.123 is your PC's static IP address.
