[Odyssey-L] Scanner recommendation

If you have a networked office copy machine that has scanning
capabilities (it has to be able to do tiff documents - we had out copy
machine rep. make sure our machine was set up to handle tiffs) that is a
great way to do Odyssey.  It allows the ILL person to stand at the
machine just like they are copying an article.  Ours has a document
feeder too.  We then scan to a folder on the C drive of our Odyssey
machine.  From there the tiff documents are imported into Odyssey.  We
edit the documents using Pagis because it is quicker, but the items can
be edited in Odyssey too.  I am attaching a PowerPoint I did for an OPAL
training session that might help you to visualize the importing (it is
slide 8 on). If you have any questions please let me know.  I am also

We are (slowly, but surely) getting Odyssey in place in our library, 
and are now in need of suggestions for a scanner to fit our 
needs.  We're a regional campus library and have a steady, but fairly 
low volume of requests (though Odyssey may change that 8-) ).  Right 
now I'm planning on buying something that would be dedicated to 
Odyssey and would have an automatic document feeder.  Other than 
that, we're pretty open.  If you could recommend a scanner that has 
worked well for you, we would greatly appreciate it.    Thanks!
